Speaking into Existence
Whether you say you can or you say you can’t, you are right. Words are the most powerful things in the universe.
John 1:1 states: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Learning to use words more effectively is essential to improving our lives. What we say will either move us forward or hold us in bondage. We have spoken defeat and received it. We have spoken success and we became successful. With both we had a clear understanding of what it was we were speaking into existence.
We have prayed or talked about a problem and received more of it. That which you concentrate on will come to you. When you have the knowledge of the power of words that come from your mouth or what you think, you will be very careful about what you say because it will happen. I know because this is what has happened to me. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, or several days or months, but it always comes.
Have you ever needed to talk to someone but have not been able to reach them and then the phone rings with that person on the line? Have you ever said that you never win anything and you never did?
One day I was at a meeting and they said they were going to draw a door prize. The prizes were passed around for everyone to see. One particular item came into my hand and I said this is mine. It felt as though it was mine. It was a discount card for an auto repair shop. When the name was drawn. . . . . . .I took a deep breath. . . . .and they announced the winner. I had won the card. I reminded myself of how it felt when I made the statement, “this is mine” and whenever I wanted to win a prize I would try to
have the same feeling. I began to win but at times I didn’t. There were times I won the prize I wanted at a follow on event. I changed my thinking about never winning door prizes and began to win.
I have also changed a relationship, that had been difficult, to one that is loving and kind. I changed my words and thoughts and I changed my life. You can too.
Take note of what shows up in your life on the basis of the words that come from your mouth or your thoughts. As you begin to notice the small things, you will understand how the big things will come. Become word conscious, because they are like seeds that will grow according to God’s Word.
Mark 11:22-25 tells us:
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Whatever God says, He will perform. In the scriptures, God said what he would do and then He did it. The power to do it is in the Word. God created man with the ability to operate in the same way with faith. Gain control of your words and bring them in harmony with the Word of God. This is where you have your power. You have to believe (have faith) that the things you say – all things that you say – have power and will happen.
“as you have believed, let it be done for you.” And It is so!
