Gratitude Log

Beverly Fells Jones

This entry will be updated anytime I recognize that a manifestation has occurred.  It may not be noteworthy in your mind, however, this log has two purposes. The first is for me to be mindful of what is coming into my life. The second is to help you to become aware of how things show up in your life after you have made a statement or even a request.

In the past, I would have said things that happened were a coincidence.  I no long say that, because it is not.   I watch and listen to the words that come from my mouth because sooner or later the statement made will come true.

What happens if you say something inadvertently, that you do not want to happen. Say to yourself, quietly, “cancel, clear, reset” or simply “cancel.” This in effect negates the words that you had just spoken. You are expressing that it is not your intention to have that event happen or arrive in your life.

Please come by every now and then to see if I have updated this post.  I encourage you to add your manifestations to the comments at the bottom of the post whenever you notice that something that you said came into your world. The more you notice what your words bring into your life, the more you will notice. Soon you will speak with authority and knowledge and faith.

Talked with my daughter-in-law last Tuesday while she was cleaning up her bookshelf.  I asked if she had the book “The Shack,” and she said she did but she wasn’t sure where it was.  I told her that I had read it, but I had loaned it to a friend, who in turn loan it to someone else.  That person has not returned it.  My daughter-in-law hadn’t found it by the time I left.

Yesterday, 5/8/2012, I was on my home from a networking event.  I thought about going to Half-Priced Books, I said no.  I didn’t need any books.  I thought about Mikasa and said no, I didn’t need to go there.  I did this with several stores.  Half-Priced Books came to mind again and I said no and continued to  drive.  As I was coming up to the turn for the Half-Books, I heard, “why don’t you stop at Half-Priced Books.”  I said, this has come to mind several times so there must be a reason I need to go in there.  I made the left turn into the parking lot.

I went in and stopped at my favorite shelves.  I found 2 books to help me with my coaching business and “A Purpose Driven Life.”   I went down the shelves and I saw the sale rack and began to browse.  I read and browsed through several books and was about to go when I was led to look at the the shelf to the left.  On that shelf sat “The Shack” for only $1.   In fact there were two copies.  I pick them both.  I smiled, raised my eyes toward the heavens and said thank you.

This was an example of simply stating that I wanted the book.   Matthew 7:7 – Ask and it will be given unto you.

Yesterday, I was walking to the store and was thinking about today, Tuesday.  I had a couple of appointments that would overlap with each other.   I thought about being able to reschedule the first one and make the second one on time.  I decided that it would not be best to call and reschedule.   I issued a “One Command” that said “I don’t know how I honor both of my appointments in a way that has the best and highest good for everyone.  I only know I do  now and I am grateful and fulfilled.”   I visualized that everyone had what they needed in the situation.

This morning – one day later – the first appointment contacted me to reschedule the time.  I agreed to change to a day and time that would be beneficial to both of us.

I am grateful and I thank God for making this possible.  I don’t know how it happened.  It isn’t my concern.  I am recording that it did happen and that I am thankful.

Romans 8

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

Have you asked for something that showed up fairly quickly.  If so write a comment below.
